Since its humble beginning as “Blue Jackal Arabians” back in 2010, the Silk Road Arabians Breeding Program has developed a decade long legacy of well-researched and finely bred modern horses (in 1:9 scale and smaller!) whose hoofbeats carry the echo of distant sands and desert-born ancestors. Some of their pedigrees brush against the stars of Hollywood; all trace back to the romance of Egypt. In fact, our pedigrees here at Silk Road are so epic that on at least one occasion back in July of 2015, we were contacted by a gentleman in Kuwait who wished to breed two of his mares to our foundation sire, Tammen Laheeb, via frozen semen! Our response? “We are sorry to have to inform you that Tammen Laheeb is a model horse (he isn’t a real flesh and blood horse, but is a Breyer model horse), and his pedigree, etc. are for educational and entertainment purposes only.”

If you would like to become a part of the Silk Road Legacy after browsing our stalls or perusing our stud ads and you meet the requirements listed below, simply email connlafreyjason@gmail.com with BREEDING REQUEST in the subject line. Requests are reviewed on Tuesday each week and you should receive a timely response (please keep in mind that the Stablemaster’s health is an ongoing issue). 

Breeding Requirements

  • Breedings to outside mares require full links to background information (if assigning a real mare) and/or Purebred status (if assigning a model mare). All of this information must be provided in initial request.

    Full pedigree information for the outside parent must be supplied at time of request.

    Contract mares are available for the listed open years ONLY!

  • Photo of get/produce must be provided at time of initial request and should be at least 800 pixels on the largest side. By becoming a part of the Silk Road Legacy, it is automatically understood that you consent to have the image of your horse displayed on this website (with proper attribution of your ownership, of course!) within the Progeny section(s) of its parent(s) (a link back to your site will be provided, where applicable). You also grant permission to have your horse shown in bloodstock classes as get/produce of its Silk Road parent(s).

  • The Stablemaster reserves the right to deny any or all requests, and/or to make helpful suggestions toward a better breeding/pedigree assignment experience.

  • You will receive a full-color breeding certificate in both PDF and JPG formats, which you are welcome to display on your own website, if you wish, as well as a secondary informational sheet containing full model horse background information (model numbers, OF/CM, etc.)

  • If you are willing to share your horse's showstring with the Stablemaster, he would love to keep in touch, and keep your part of the Silk Road Legacy's winnings updated herein. We love seeing your "babies" succeed in the showring! Make sure to include SILK ROAD (name of your horse) SUCCESS in the subject line, so we don't miss any of your great news and updates!
